Yeah, I know. You’re probably thinking “Bad breath stinks, really?” . When I first started, it was the first thing that popped into my head. And after a while, it sort of grew on me, and I decided to keep it.
I will admit, using the word stinks does throw a powerful punch in with bad breath. At first, I was sort of afraid that it would add bad connotations, and people wouldn’t want to look at the site. But I realized that most people don’t care what the URL says, as long it has relevant articles on it to help them.
Bad breath stinks. It really is a unique name, the more I think about it. It’s actually a little funny. What breath doesn’t stink that isn’t bad?
But the more I reflected on the words, the more I came to the conclusion of two things. And that is that there is a literal meaning and a figurative meaning of the phrase “Bad Breath Stinks”.
Bad Breath Stinks Literally
As much as people don’t want to be told it, bad breath really does stink. When I was dealing with halitosis, I found out quick enough. You had to be careful where you opened your mouth, otherwise you would get the sad, but common words hurled at your way – “You’re breath stinks”.
There are odors that you body can produce that are smelly in one way or another. But halitosis trumps them all, especially chronic bad breath. I mean, it really stinks.
My breath was so bad once, that I termed it dodo breath, because my siblings kept telling me that my breath smelled like chicken poop.
You know, right now, it’s pretty funny that my breath smelled that bad. But while you’re in the middle of it, you see that it’s really not that funny, and that they just want to stop their bad breath from stinking. And that’s where it becomes a figurative phrase.
Bad Breath Stinks Figuratively
While halitosis literally stinks, it also figuratively stinks. What I mean is this: bad breath is one of the worst things that can happen to you, and it’s sad that you can have bad breath.
It stinks in the sense that you have to be careful where you go, what you say, how you breathe. All those things just because of your halitosis. It just really stinks that you can’t go out with your friends the way you used to, you’re afraid of what people may think of you, and many other things.
I really feel your pain. I personally have struggled with halitosis, and know firsthand how much it stinks to have bad breath. But that’s why I started this site.
Bad Breath Help
I started this site with the intentions to help people with bad breath. And I still have those intentions.
I’ve written articles and posts on different ways to cure halitosis, and what to do to keep having ‘good’ breath. I’m trying to put new content up daily, so that you can learn and better heal your breath.
If there is anything you want me to write about, or need help working through a problem, feel free to use the Submit A Question page to get in contact with me, and I’ll be more that happy to help you out. Just be sure to be as informative as possible so I can help you as best as possible.
Or it may be that you just need someone to talk to. Don’t hesitate to use the above link to drop me a little message about how terrible life is. I’m more than willing to hear your junk and help through any halitosis problems you may have.
Hope to hear from you soon!

Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving a comment. I would recommend you ask your dentist what they think the problem is, as they may have a better clue that I would.
I would also recommend that you check out this article, where it explains how you can check different parts of your mouth to see if you have bad breath.
Hope you can clear up your halitosis,
Hello! My name is Bhanu , I am having bad breath from past 2 years. When I visited a dentist in m locality he told my mouth is clean. Then why am I getting bad breath and why it is so persistent ???
Did the dentist look into your tonsils and the back of your throat? Have you been able to diganose where the smell is coming from, or what it smells like? Many times halitosis can come from other places than just the teeth and front of the mouth. So, I would recommend checking out whether the back of your throat is what is causing bad breath.
Hey, my bad breath comes from my tongue, it’ll smells like anything i’ve recently eat but worst. Any suggestion?
